NAPLES, Fla. - FC Naples has added a pair of young players on USL Academy contracts, 19-year-old midfielder Thomas Bowe and 20-year-old midfielder Roscoe Rubinstein.
"We are excited to announce our first academy players," Naples Head Coach Matt Poland said. "Our club philosophy is development, and that is our goal with our academy players."
Roscoe Rubinstein, a rising talent from Sarasota, Fla., was born in 2004 and is making early strides in his professional soccer career at just 20 years old. Rubinstein developed in Germany with FC Schalke 04 and in Portugal with Valeo FC Nazaré SAD before making his professional debut with second-division Irish side Athlone Town AFC in 2024.
"Roscoe is a young player coming back to the States after playing abroad," Poland said. "He brings a high level of work rate and is able to play in many different positions for us."
Thomas Bowe, a promising young player from Naples, Fla., was born in 2006 and has already begun making his mark on the professional stage at just 19 years old. Bowe developed with the Orlando City SC Academy and made eight appearances with MLS NEXT Pro side Orlando City B between 2023-24.
"Thomas is a player from Naples who has spent the past couple of seasons at Orlando City B," Poland said. "He possesses a great shot and is dangerous anytime he is on the ball in or around the box."
