TAMPA, Fla. - Last Friday, the United Soccer League announced a three-year partnership with globally-renowned sports and lifestyle brand PUMA. As part of that partnership, PUMA will become an official national partner of the new USL Academy League, set to kick off in 2021.
“We’re thrilled to see a brand that is as well-known in the soccer world as PUMA recognize the value in supporting youth development in American soccer,” said USL Sr. Director of Youth Development Liam O’Connell. “We look forward to working with PUMA to grow the USL Academy League into something truly special in the coming years.”
This past year, PUMA partnered with USL Championship club New Mexico United, providing the second-year club with innovative jersey and apparel designs. New Mexico United will field a team in the Southwest Division of the inaugural USL Academy League season next year, one of more than 50 founding member clubs in 25 states.
More details about the partnership between the USL Academy League and PUMA will be announced as they are made available.
