INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - Indy Eleven announced Wednesday that the club signed midfielder Patrick McDonald, forward Matthew Roou and defender Matthew Senanou to USL Academy contracts.

"We are excited to add three new academy prospects to our roster,” said Indy Eleven Head Coach Martin Rennie. “These players will replace the guys that have transitioned to play college soccer. All three players are very talented and will add a lot of quality to our squad. We look forward to continuing our work with the brightest young soccer talents in Indiana and beyond."

Roou joins Indy Eleven from NC Fusion of Greensboro, North Carolina, a prominent youth club with a senior team competing in USL League Two. Senanou comes from youth club Chicago Sockers, while McDonald previously played for Shattuck-Saint Mary’s High School in Minnesota.

The three young players are immediately eligible to compete for Indy Eleven in USL Championship matches, while retaining future college eligibility. USL clubs are utilizing USL Academy Contracts now more than ever to aid the development of pathways from youth to senior team soccer in their communities, and to provide more opportunities for top local talent to compete with professionals at a young age.

McDonald, Roou and Senanou join goalkeeper Alex Svetanoff (signed July 17) as Academy signings on Indy Eleven’s 25-man roster. For more information about USL Academy, visit www.usl-academy.com/about or search #USLAcademy on social media.
