Charlotte Independence SC Announces Hiring of Matt Brown

Experienced Goalkeeping Coach previously served as IMG Academy Goalkeeper Development Leader

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Charlotte Independence Soccer Club has announced a key addition to its new strategic goalkeeper development program with the hiring of Matthew Brown, an exceptionally experienced and accredited goalkeeper development professional. The announcement adds a key position to the goalkeeping development staff and reinforces the Club’s strengthened and industry leading commitment to the critical position. It also provides the region’s young goalkeepers a national leading academy where they can develop and reach their full potential.

The Goalkeeping commitment includes three components; a comprehensive skills development curriculum, a cutting-edge sports performance training regimen, and a major commitment to goalkeeper-dedicated instructional personnel with stellar credentials.

Brown brings 16 years of experience, and prior to joining the Independence Soccer Club, was the Assistant Director of Goal Keeping at the prestigious IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida. Brown also brings exceptional expertise, while maintaining USSF B, USSF GK National, NSCAA Advanced National and NSCAA National licenses. Brown will be the Director overseeing the goalkeeping for all Girls programs at the Club.
